Laser-controlled ultrafast nonlinear optical responses of interacting <i>e</i>–<i>h</i> pairs in electromagnetically coupled GaAs quantum dots

In this paper, by applying generalized density-matrix equations, we explore the ultrafast dynamics of photo-generated electron–hole pairs in system composed electromagnetically coupled GaAs/AlGaAs quantum dots and reveal physics mechanism behind laser-controlled nonlinear-optical response pairs. For single-dot system, present numerical results to show transient dependence carrier occupations induced coherence presence either a single or double laser pulses, as well for step turning-on field. dipole-radiation double-dot study numerically time both intradot interdot self-consistent depolarization fields within between two dots, respectively. Meanwhile, further demonstrate significance phase matching incident-laser pulse order maximize stimulated transitions ensure non-quenched Rabi oscillations each dot. The employed theoretical model associated analysis method are expected facilitate designing developing artificial molecules arbitrarily dielectric-embedded with non-local interactions entanglement, optically manipulating electron states molecules.
